Dont cry for me......when a loss becomes a plus Part 1

There was an overwhelming round of applause, the audience was obviously carried away by the crew’s excellent performance, it was my second time featuring in a stage play, the last scene was so intriguing I couldn't help but cry as I walked down the stage. I felt almost naked because of the traditional Bini attire I had on. I ran off barefooted into my hotel room and once I was in I couldn’t help thinking of the deep  moments kissing George.  It felt too real, even though I had not acted close to George Alenshinloye Black, in any capacity. George was the main thing in the Nigerian movie industry, in fact in Africa, I cant think of any actor who was his match. The tabloids had judged him very  arrogant and saucy, I was yet to encounter that side of him. I slowly removed my accessories, the heavy beads and earrings, I tried removing my wrapper but it was almost impossible. I just couldn't reach the knot at my back. I noticed my door gave way slowly, George stood by the door, he noticed I was struggling with my wrapper, and without a word, he helped untie it, pulling me to himself, his hands were strong and cold, but they also sent shiver down my spine. I could only close my eyes, he picked my face up, holding it with both hands, my eyes were closed but I could see he would kiss me, I so wanted it, and then he laughed loud, pushing me to the bed,’ you are just all the same, bed toys, he hissed and walked out banging my door.

.

The next few weeks was demanding for me I had gotten back to Abuja  my dad was very ill. I was running from the hospital to movie locations

I can't forget an afternoon Bella had invited me for a pre shot meeting. I had walked into the meeting  seeing George and a Imelda, a new face in the movie industry. She sat on his legs throwing herself at him, I was simply pissed off George could see anger on my face and all he did was to laugh

. I totally ignored George and his guest as I listened to Bella  George grinned annoyingly telling his company, ‘someone here is green with envy. I could no longer contain my anger I picked my script and walked away.

I did all I could to avoid George, but weeks later I got a message we had to take some shots at his house,

As I drove through Barclays Estate I was thinking of what could happen when I get there. I was finally in George blacks compound, and I was not surprised at his  taste, I couldn't  but up admire his fleet of cars. And while I sat outside waiting for someone to take me in I noticed his daughter, Zara Black . I had read so much about her from the tabloids.  she was a pretty 10 year-old beauty who unfortunately was confined to a wheelchair  I also read that she was very proud and saucy just like her father. Zara wheeled her chair close to me and looked into my eyes ‘Eleanor Briggs  I was too sure it was you,’ I smiled I didn't know what to expect from her ,she gave me a straight look . she was so disgusted to see me, and then she gave a plastic smile ‘ I have always known that one day you will be one of his fleet of girls’

I was not sure if that was an insult or compliment I just ignored.  . my mood that day went from not so good, to terrible and as if all that was not enough I got an sms , that the shoot we had that day had been postponed..  Continues
