Dont judge me, before you read my story.....its not everytime that men are scum. Part 1

I met my wife in Gwoza town, during my mandatory National Youth Service. I was posted to Gwoza Town in Bornu state and she came visiting her sister, I remember rehearsing My Guitar that hot afternoon when suddenly I heard a tap on my door. I was not expecting anybody so reluctantly I stood up to check who it was, it was a very strange face I had never seen her before. She had travelled down from Maiduguri to see her younger sister. Her younger sister was my flat mate but unfortunately, she wasn't around. I had no choice but to welcome and entertain her in my own little way.  Motola was sincerely very grateful she left a few days later,  by then we were  a little cordial, when I finished my Youth Service I visited her in Lagos, she was a medical doctor, and to me that was a minus, we became Closer by the day and I did all I could to make sure you didn't go beyond  being just friends , but she was very persistent and patient my mum begged me to give her a chance ,we ended up getting married.

I never liked the idea of marrying a medical doctor I just don't like them, Motola convinced me that she was different, and initially she really was. She was super caring, loving and fun to be with. However as time went on she started changing, my mum said that was how marriage was, people change with time . She got an awesome job with an NGO, this took a lot of her time, initially it caused  a lot of quarrel but then I knew I had to be happy for her, so I couldn't complain I just had to adjust, my mum understood my plight  and she knew I didn't like cooking so she stepped in to help. she checked  on me regularly and whenever she was coming she will bring so much food. However It got to a point that my mum could no longer bear some things she observed in the house. She always argued  with Motola. She reduced her visits. The implication was that I started eating out a lot, but I was not bothered I kept wondering if this was how the conventional marriage was or mine was simply different.

One afternoon I got home quite early I was surprised to see a  very clean house I could also perceive an inviting native soup cooking, to say   I was  shocked would be an understatement  was  Motola ok?  what had happened to her? As I got to the kitchen I met my mum and a young lady. Mum had gotten me a house maid  to help in the cooking and the cleaning. I actually  liked the idea ,I was only scared of the impact it will have on us, how would Motorola take it?

Knowing that  the main idea had come from Motola was great relief for me, she had told my mum to help her get a maid. Motola  was also happy that I didn't take it angrily. Life got better and more peaceful for me ,I could eat well and even take food to work. I would wake up in the morning to see my flask of food on the table and my car cleaned. Anna must have been sent from heaven.

One day I travel to Ibadan, on my way back I had a flat tire, after fixing my spare tire I found out it wasn't so good.  So I had to call my friend in Ibadan to come pick me, that meant I wasn't going to sleep at home. My phone battery was flat I was really worried that Motola was going to be worried sick about not getting through to me ,I charged my phone and, slept off.  I woke up around 12 midnight to put on my phone and immediately I put on my phone , you don’t want to know who the first caller was , it was not Motola, it was Hannah she was  worried and panting ,It took a lot  to calm her down and tell her that  I'll be back home in the morning, what had happened  changed my perspective about so many things. As usual Motorola had gotten home late and when she knew I wasn't around she just went to bed. The next morning, I kept thinking of Anna as I drove slowly  to Lagos, Motola did call, but it was to inform me that she had a week long training in Abuja.  .

I simply  smiled, I thought I was watching a movie. When I got home I meant Modele my younger brother. He couldn't stop complimenting Anna. Eventually I had to shut him up, I didn't want him to know I had started having feelings for Anna. That evening we had an excellent dinner Anna made sure it was a special one, maybe it was because Modele  was around or was it because she had missed me? I retired to bed early that night I was so worried and scared for my marriage. I kept rolling in bed I simply could not sleep, it was around 1 a.m. when I had this Crash it sounded like piles of glass plates went crashing .
